Draw What You Hear: An Evening of Intuitive Art and Live Music

What does music look like on paper? You will find out in this unique creative experience at University Wine Company!

In this immersive workshop, participants will create intuitive art while the Tangled Wood String Quartet performs a set of contrasting and very different musical pieces. The quartet—an amateur ensemble who, much like many artists, discovered a deep joy for music-making later in life—will invite you to simply listen, feel, and respond without knowing what comes next.

As the quartet performs, you’ll be guided through a sequence of intuitive art activities that invite you to translate sound into line, motion, and texture. With a variety of art materials and gentle prompts, you’ll create freely, letting the music lead the way.

No art experience is necessary—just a willingness to listen, feel, and explore. This is a relaxed, soulful evening of music, creativity, and connection.
